ACTIVITIES
Fun in the sun – or out of it – is boundless in Provence as you’ll see from the various websites which you can access from this site.
For information on activities, click the headings below:
For walkers, there are plenty of signposted walks in the local hills, around the lakes or to the waterfall at Sillans. Take stout walking shoes with you! If you like coast path walking, there are some breathtaking opportunities – our favourite is from Gigaro where the beach path leads up into the pine woods above St. Tropez.
For the golfers, there is an excellent course at Barbaroux, about half an hour’s drive from home.
For watersports, the nearest destination is the Lac de Sainte Croix where you can simply mess about in a boat, hire a pedalo or go for more serious fun such as rafting and kayaking in the gorges.
 Gorges du Verdon
The coast is about an hour’s drive – depending on traffic – to St. Tropez, Cannes and Sainte Maxime. All forms of watersport are always in fashion here, but click the links if it’s kayaking or diving you’re after.
If you’d rather be up in the air, why not go for a ride up into the Alps (Digne) on the Train des Pignes from Nice or you can rise above it all in a hot air balloon.
For the climbers, there’s plenty of opportunity just down the road in the Vallon Sourn and of course in the Gorges du Verdon, pictured above.
